Born in Armenia, Kristina Nazarevskaia was raised in Moscow and Addis Ababa , Ethiopia , before coming to America in 1991. From Public Relations at Biola University in California to Film and Television at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University , the artist's experiences have unified within her a profound desire for self -expression.

After nearly a decade of seeking such an outlet, her true metamorphosis came through a chance foray to Tunisia . There, she drew from the colors and compositions, sounds and smells which influence and inspire her work. Kristina began experimenting with texture and color when she returned to the United States . Captivated by the depth created through the various applications of glaze, stucco and sand, she is able to produce rich and dynamic tactile experiences. Looking at her pieces, you are given to irrepressible urges to touch the surface of her works.

Since her first New York showing in May 2001, her works have been exhibited in Moscow , Bratislava, Vienna and Brussels . Kristina's clients are as diverse as the countries they represent. From Japan to Australia , France to Russia , Canada to Argentina , they all share one universal bond -- this artist's unique perception of life.
